Trek (band)

Trek an soviet and russian rock band. Formed in Khabarovsk in 1977.

History

The group was formed in 1977.

The constant structure was formed in 1980. In 1982 there is the first album «Flying for line».

In 1991 the band participates in Soviet-Japanese-American festival in Vladivostok.

In 1995 there is group's CD «Blessed to Feel» — the first CD of Far East group. By this moment in Khabarovsk there is a considerable quantity of groups and "Track" decides to create rock club "Roxy" which has been opened on June, 24th, 1995 the band created rock club "Roxy".

In 1996 "Track" takes part in the Russian-American festival in Vladivostok "Vladi-ROCKstok-96". At festival here was a manager of the band "Nazareth". He invites the "Track" for a joint concert with «Nazareth» in Vladivostok. Tours «Nazareth» coincide with Dan McCafferty's 50 anniversary and "Track" also was officially invited to celebrating of anniversary. McCafferty said in exclusive interview for TVA: «"Trek" is the best that I heard in Russia». But at that time "Trek" was break-up.

2006. In Moscow two former musicians of group, the guitarist and composer Yury Miroshnichenko (Peps) and vocalist Vladimir Kotov revived TREK.

2007. The band celebraited the 30th anniversary.

Nowadays the band playing as "Trek Division".
