The PBA tour's sixth event of 1960, the $22,600 Southern California PBA open, was held at Bowl-O-Drome, in Los Angeles, California. The first day of PBA competition was July 6, 1960. The competition ran until September 1, 1960. 48 bowlers cashed in this competition. Morrie Oppenheim, of Chicago, IL won his first tile and took home the first prize of $3,000. Rounding out the top 5 were Glenn Allison, Don Carter, Pat Patterson and Carmen Salvino.
