SouthCity is a 57 ha mixed-use township development located in Pondok Cabe, South Tangerang, Banten, Indonesia. The development includes apartments, landed housing clusters, commercial shophouses, LifeStyle hubs, and a planned regional shopping mall developed through a joint venture with Summarecon Agung.

History

SouthCity was first launched on 12 May 2017 as a comprehensive township project in the southern fringe of the Greater Jakarta urban area. It occupies approximately 570,000 m² of land in Pondok Cabe.

SouthCity Square serves as a row of retail and dining outlets, while plans for a large shopping center within the superblock are underway through a joint venture between PT Setiawan Dwi Tunggal and PT Summarecon Investment Property, a wess-established mall operator in Indonesia, valued at approximately IDR 1 trillion.

Residential Components

  • The Parc: A large apartment complex designed with co-living concepts initially marketed to millennials and urban professionals, with multiple towers and units.
  • Fortunia Cove: A premium cluster of housing units offering modern architectural designs and customizable interiors, launched with a “Design Your Home, Your Way” concept.

Commercial and Retail

  • SouthCity Square- A row of shophouses with modern tropical design, catering to retail, dining, and office uses.
  • SouthCity Hive- A culinary and lifestyle hub intended to support food and beverage tenants and social spaces.
  • SouthCity Mall- A joint venture signed in 2024 with PT Summarecon Agung, planned to encompass entertainment and shopping facilities with estimated Rp 1tr.

Location and Transportation

Located in Pondok Cabe, SouthCity benefits from proximity to multiple toll gates, including Limo, Pamulang, and Brigif, enabling access to central Jakarta and surrounding regions. Public transportation options such as TransJakarta bus services and nearby MRT stations further support connectivity.

Car Free Day Activities

It was started in October 2017 and covers the main roads in SouthCity from 6AM to 10AM and attended by locals as a favorite local tourist attraction with attendees numbering in 4000 every weekend.
