Sharon English School

The Sharon English School was established in 2004 in Vientiane, the capital of Laos. It was started to provide and offer an excellent education in a safe and healthy environment, and to help bridge the gap between the Lao and expatriate communities. The best schools in Laos are not affordable to all but the wealthiest Lao, and so the Sharon English School desires to provide a high-standard international-level education at an affordable price for both the international and Lao community.

The school has reached that goal and is now succeeding it. With students having come from America, Australia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, New Zealand, Russia, Singapore and more, this school is a perfect example of how love and care can break beyond nationalities, cultures, and stereotypes. The Sharon English School is like a big international family! With many experienced and capable teachers from many nationalities such as America, Great Britain, Philippines, Australia, Laos, and other countries to the parent/student international population, the Sharon English School is a real multi-cultural experience.

Their educational curriculum uses the standard of and is based on the TEKS Educational Curriculum from the State of Texas (USA), and they are happy to welcome all nationalities, races, religions, and classes to our school. The curriculum, age-standards, and methods of assessing children are fair, concrete, and applied equally. The tests in the upper grades are exactly what all children in the State of Texas in the USA have used to test as well. They have received these rights from the State of Texas.

This school understands that children are our future, and they will decide how the world will run even after we are no longer able to make those kinds of decisions. Therefore, it is their goal to raise children up to be responsible, educated, able to make good decisions, to know self-control, and be considerate towards others. It is also their dream and desire to raise children up to be fun-loving, educationally-minded, well-behaved, and GeneRally good kiddos.
