Native New Yorkers Historical Society

The Native New Yorkers Historical Society was an organization, located in New York State, founded to preserve its past. The founder and president, Felix J. Cuervo, was Navy veteran of World War II. He died of cancer in August, 1992 at Long Island Jewish Hospital at age 73.

The Native New Yorkers Historical Society, along with the New York Life Insurance Company, was instrumental is having a commemorative bronze plaque placed at the Chester A. Arthur Home when the house was declared a National Historic Landmark on January 12, 1965.
