The Beats (record label)
The beats was a record label run by Mike Skinner and Ted Mayhem alongside a videblog offshoot called Beat Stevie. Artists signed up to the label were hip hop duo The Mitchell Brothers, rapper Professor Green, rapper Example and his producer Rusher, and Skinner's own act The Streets. The label was owned by Mike Skinner and, as of November 2007, not financed by anyone, after previous financers Warner Music Group closed the deals with all their sublabels.
Mike Skinner announced on his Myspace blog that the Beats now ceased to exist, he held a funeral for the record label and said
