Naked Hub
[...] Hub (stylized [...] Hub) is a Chinese coworking company that provides a network of shared workspaces. It is based in Shanghai with locations in China and Southeast Asia.
History
[...] Hub was founded in 2015 by Grant Horsfield as part of the [...] Group (which also operates [...] Retreats). Its first location was opened on Fuxing Road in Shanghai in November 2015. By June 2016, the company operated 3 sites and was planning to add 9 others throughout Shanghai by the end of that year. In August, former Richemont and Coach executive, Jonathan Seliger, was named CEO of [...] Hub. Two months later, the company opened its sixth location at Xintiandi in Shanghai.
In November 2016, the company earned $33 million (USD) in a funding round led by Gaw Capital Partners. The goal of the new funding was to open up 24 to 30 new locations throughout China, Singapore, and other Southeast Asian locales. By April 2017, [...] Hub had 21 locations open and under development, twelve of which were in Shanghai and nine others in Beijing, Hong Kong, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City. It opened its first Hong Kong location in Sheung Wan in July 2017.
Operation
By October 2017, [...] Hub had 35 locations. Its spaces are designed to house both corporate entities and individual entrepreneurs. The company offers designated seats and non-designated seats in rooms and public areas. Each location has a differing number of work desks. According to [...], its clientele is composed of 41% multinational organizations, including GoPro and Viking Cruises. Douban occupies 300 seats at [...] Hub.
