Nairobi Bachelor is a 2024 reality dating show created and directed by Cecimercy Wanza. The Showmax Original hosted by celebrity couple Daddie Marto and Koku Lwanga, promises romance, drama, twists, and chronicles the journey of young singletons and bachelors searching for their ideal mate.
Plot
Each week, a new singleton enters The House of Pendo, where five women and a surprise number of bachelors embark on an unpredictable journey to find love. Sight unseen, contestants must navigate emotional challenges, personal baggage, and unexpected twists to see if romance is truly in the cards.
The new singleton arrives, introduced through a heartfelt monologue detailing their dating history, heartbreaks, and what they seek in a partner. Five women already in the Nest of The House of Pendo reveal their personalities, pasts, and hopes for love. They engage in conversations, games, and confessions to establish connections. They go through a series of quick fire sessions in order to appease their bachelor who will choose them based on their intellect, voice, charisma through the quickfire segment. This is the first elimination process. The bachelor in the Caves listens as the women answer the quick fire and takes his pick using the color of the cards in front of him- Brown, Green, Blue, Red, Orange. Unbeknownst to him the bachelor is actually choosing a queen without knowing her name or her physique.
The women are lined up in the main arena where they are presented with the results of the bachelor. All know that there is one bachelor who can choose just one queen. To their surprise they may get more than one queen being selected. A surprise twist unfolds as the number of men competing for love varies each week. When the men are called to the main arena only to find more queens than they had chosen and now they can see their physique so they are asked if they like what they see and they either agree or disagree. This leads to the second elimination. The women—and viewers—only discover the number of bachelors towards the end of the segment. Once the contestants like each other they get to the baggage segment where they confront their pasts head-on. Each person must reveal deep personal baggage—from ex-relationships to personal struggles. The bachelors or the singleton must decide if they can handle the baggage or walk away. If a contestant chooses to accept their match's baggage, they move on to a romantic date. If they reject the connection, heartbreak ensues, and the search for love continues.
