Nadiia Sokolovska

Nadiia Sokolovska () is a Ukrainian freestyle wrestler. Competing in the 72 kg and 76 kg weight classes, she won the gold medal in the women's freestyle 72 kg event at the 2026 European Wrestling Championships in Tirana, Albania. She also won gold medals at the 2025 U20 World Wrestling Championships, the 2025 European U20 Wrestling Championships and the 2026 European U23 Wrestling Championships.

Career

Sokolovska is from Poltava, Ukraine. She trained in wrestling under her father, Volodymyr Sokolovskyi, who was also described by United World Wrestling as a long-time Greco-Roman coach in Ukraine. At cadet level, she won the gold medal at the 2022 European U17 Wrestling Championships.

In 2024, Sokolovska won the bronze medal in the women's freestyle 72 kg event at the European U17 and U20 Wrestling Championships in Novi Sad, Serbia. The same year, she won the silver medal in the 72 kg event at the European U23 Wrestling Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan, losing to Alina Shauchuk in the final.

In 2025, she moved up to the 76 kg weight class. At the European U20 Wrestling Championships in Caorle, Italy, she won the gold medal in the women's freestyle 76 kg event. She defeated Hanna Pirskaya, Diana Titova, Auguste Gendvilaitė and Elmira Yasin before beating Titova again in the final, 6–0. Later that year, Sokolovska became world junior champion at the U20 World Wrestling Championships in Samokov, Bulgaria. She defeated Liu Cancan of China, Elmira Yasin of Turkey and Tuvshinjargal Tarav of Kyrgyzstan before pinning India's Priya Priya in the final.

At the 2026 European U23 Wrestling Championships in Zrenjanin, Serbia, Sokolovska won the gold medal in the women's freestyle 76 kg event. In the final, she defeated Poland's Patrycja Cuber 8–0 to become European U23 champion. One month later, she competed at her first senior European Championships in Tirana, Albania. In the women's freestyle 72 kg event, she defeated Italy's Vincenza Amendola, Slovakia's Zsuzsanna Molnár and Kristina Bratchikova, who competed under the United World Wrestling flag. In the final, she defeated Poland's Wiktoria Chołuj 5–3 and won the senior European title.
