2007 and 2008 were learning years for Godley as he transitioned to Late Models. In 2007, Godley made his UARA-Stars debut, placing 12th at Caraway Speedway. The 2008 season found Godley behind the wheel at Dillon in two weekly races, earning a 3rd and 6th place finish.

Also in 2006, Godley ran a partial Arena Racing Charlotte schedule, sharing a ride with noted NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Kyle Busch. Godley won the second race he entered and finished in the top-3 nine times as the youngest driver in the series.

2004 marked Godley breakout season in Bandolero’s, as he won 11 of the 20 races he entered and finished in the top-3 in the other nine.
