Matt Grindley
Matt Grindley (born 1st July 1976) is an English Magician, comedian and actor. Born in Worsley, Manchester, he is best known for his unique BLEND of comedy magic that's fast and funny and has recently turned his hand to acting appearing in "Britains Biggest Heists." He has also appeared in "Streetmagic Tv and provided comedy narration on "When Magic Tricks Go Wrong." Matt will also be appearing in the TKMAXX Tv campaign in aid of Cancer Research and the recently filmed a pilot tv show "The Hustlers (Tv show)."
Early life
He attended St Georges R.C High school in Walkden. When he left school he had numerous jobs including Baker, Office Worker, Security Guard and more.His last job before becoming a full-time entertainer was delivering fruit and veg. He currently lives in Horwich Bolton.
Career in Magic
Matt has been performing magic since he was 9 years old when his parents bought him a "Paul Daniels Magic Set" for Christmas. Matt has always said that his main infulence in the world of magic was due to magician "Wayne Dobson" this can be seen during Matts live stage performances. Matt began the way all magicians did performing at childrens parties and took any work that he could get. Matt always wanted to appear in Summer Season shows as he felt his act was very end of the pier. But by this time it was 2002 and this kind of entertainment was losing it's appeal. Matt then self-funded his Highly sucessfull "Beach Magic Laughter Show" Which has ran for the Past 4 years to great reviews. Matt has since worked with acts such as Cannon and Ball, Keith Harris and Orville, The cast of Hi-de-Hi and Many more. Matt has also appeared in the pantomime "Aladdin" during Winter 2006. Last year Matt was nominated "Uk Entertainer of the year 2009" He is known for his very funny Vent mask routine.
Tv Projects/Appearances
In 2004 Matt Appeared in the Tv Street magic Tv performing streetmagic on the unsuspecting public around the streets of Blackpool. After filming had finished Matt was picked to voice a Tv Pilot called "When Magic Tricks Go Wrong" this was to be a you've been framed style program featuring various tricks going wrong from around the world. Matt has also filmed a direct to DVD documentary called Music Hall Magic AbOUT his love of music hall including George Formby and Old Mother Riley. In 2008 Matt was named as being involved in a project with Objective productions the makers of the Derren Brown show, but this was shelved in 2009 due to the production companys commitment to Derren Brown Projects. In 2009 Matt appeared on Breakfast Tv to discuss his latest tour and his career in general. In late 2009 Matt turned to professional acting with a role in Tv's "Britains Biggest Heists" this subsequently led to a role in the forthcomng show "The Hustlers" scheduled for possible broadcast in 2011.

In 2007 Matt launched Matt Grindleys Magic Camp, Aimed at children from reception school age upto 12 years old although primarily based in Bolton it will be touring the Northwest from 2010.

In the late 1990's Matt weighed nearly 22Stone and lost the weight to pursue his career in magic
