Mark X (musician)
Mark X is a singer/songwriter originally from Grand Island, New York he returned home after spending three years in Tampa, Florida. He is the lead singer and bassist of the punk rock band Triumverate, and has also had an extended solo career as an acoustic guitarist and vocalist. He graduated from the University of Buffalo with an English degree, and has displayed a keen fascination with both classic poetry and philosophy in his lyrics. Well known for his use of mixed metaphors, and odd cultural references that range from Shakespeare to Spider-man. Also the owner of the label Porno Brat Records. The author of several unpublished meta-fiction fantasy novels. Mark is mostly known for releasing an abundance of material musically, three of his solo records have been made available as free downloads on the Internet. Many speculated that his thirteenth full length solo record(entitled An Open Letter To My Critics) would be his final acoustic record, however it was announced in early August that a new full length record would be released on the year anniversary of Critics(October 23, 2008). On September 4, the album cover was released, and featured the name as Mark Of Champions instead of Mark X and was a mostly orange background as a stark CONTRAST to every other album cover which had been released as entirely black and white. Following a brief hiatus, a new record was announced on February 21, 2009. In a strange press release the album was referred to as being "(simply)epic." The first song and album art accompanied the press release(My Life In The City). The song shared a similar flavor of previous records from 2006.
