Mariam El Boakye-Gyasi
Mariam El Boakye-Gyasi is an associate professor in the Department Of Pharmaceutics, Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, Ghana. She is the first woman in Ghana to be promoted to the rank of associate professor of Pharmaceutics where she also serves as the Head of Monitoring and Evaluation.
Education
She had her secondary education at Wesley Girls' Senior High School, Cape Coast, Ghana. She holds a PhD and MPhil in Pharmaceutics and Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree from KNUST in 2011, 2016 and 2008 respectively
Career
Mariam is a professor who teaches Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology to both undergraduate and postgraduate students at KNUST. She is the Head of the Monitoring and Evaluation Department at the Quality Assurance and Planning Office (QAPO) at KNUST. She oversees staff performance evaluation, development of appraisal mechanisms, service delivery assessments, and institutional policy evaluations. She is a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana and the Chairperson of the Lady Pharmacists Association of Ghana.
