Madeleine Rowan

Madeleine Rowan (born December 30, 1984 in Washington DC) is an American poker player.

In July of 2006, Rowan became the youngest female ever to play in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event held in the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The WSOP Main Event, a no-limit Texas Hold'em tournament requiring a buy-in of $10,000 per seat, drew a record number of entrants in 2006 with women accounting for only 3% of the 8,773 participants.1 Rowan attended the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia and received a B.A. in Foreign Affairs in 2007. Her brother, David Rowan,3 is also a poker player and together they are one of few sibling pairs4 in the poker world, along with the esteemed brother-sister, poker-playing duo Annie Duke and Howard Lederer. Rowan is currently living in Los Angeles, CA.
