Lorraine "L.D." Delacorte

Lorraine Delacorte, most commonly referred to as L.D., is a character from the series Degrassi Junior High.

L.D. had a significant role throughout the series.

In the first season, L.D. admits her mother died of cancer and she lives with her father. In the episode 'Nothing To Fear', her father is hospitalized and she refuses to see him because of the memories of her mother. She's also a member of the swimming team.

In the second and third season, she becomes close friends with Lucy Fernandez, helping her along several plot lines, including the molestation of Lucy from a substitute teacher and a falling out over a boy. It's also mentioned she feels close towards Wheels but this isn't seen until the season finale 'Bye-Bye Junior High'.

In Degrassi High, things go along for L.D., until the episode 'Just Friends' when Lucy visits her in the hospital and finds out she has Leukemia.

She is last seen in the episode 'Sixteen', when Alexa insists they celebrate her Sixteenth birthday. Lucy references her several times, sending her video recrodings and stating she is in remission and doing her study by corospondence.
