Labor Law Plus

Based in London, Labor Law Plus is a global labor and employment law service that has more than 4,500 affiliated lawyers, and serves global and growing companies in more than 95 countries worldwide. This service involves full business law support, and counsel related to all labor-related issues in mergers and acquisitions, as well as complex restructurings and entries into new markets.

Labor Law Plus operates in all countries in Europe, including all EU and EEA countries, all major countries in the Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific and Latin America, as well as Russia, China, India, Canada and the United States. The organization manages the services it offers centrally in London, and yet Labor Law Plus is geared toward the business objectives of general counsel and international business clients in their respective jurisdictions.

History

Launched in 2013, Labor Law Plus is a division of Transatlantic Law International, a privately held London-based firm that provides legal and business services to companies and investors around the world. Membership in Labor Law Plus is by invitation only, ensuring the organization has the capacity to support business law requirements for global clients and for national clients in jurisdictions around the world.

Erik D. Lazar is director of Labor Law Plus. He is also founder and director of Transatlantic Law International. Mr. Lazar created Labor Law Plus to meet the growing demand for global labor and employment law services, a service sector estimated to generate more than $65 billion annually in revenues worldwide, and which has been served primarily either by traditional law firms, loose law firm referral networks, or more recently by major US-based labor and employment law firms expanding internationally by opening offices overseas in some countries or forming alliances with other law firm groups.

Labor Law Plus serves multinational and growing clients, and specializes in mergers and acquisitions, opening and closing of offices, restructuring, and many other areas of business law that intersect with labor and employment law issues.

The organization counsels clients in navigating labor and employment laws and regulations by pulling together and integrating Transatlantic Law International attorneys from a variety of geographic regions and legal specialties.

Labor Law Plus is also centrally managed so that each client receives a single set of contract terms, is able to monitor and control costs, and has coordinated global billing from a single centralized source.
