Transatlantic Law International
Transatlantic Law International Limited is a London-based global legal service provider that provides legal services and related business solutions to multinational companies and growing investors worldwide.
History
Transatlantic Law International was founded in 2001
Erik D. Lazar is founder and director of the firm. He specializes in global mergers and acquisitions, antitrust, restructuring, commercial agreements, international transactions, management of cross-border projects, and global labor and employment law.
Mr. Lazar started his legal career in private practice in Boston. He moved to Europe in 1991 and served as chief counsel for International Paper Europe in Brussels and then occupied the post of general counsel EMEA for Tyco International in Luxembourg. In these positions, he was responsible for all legal aspects of these businesses’ EMEA operations.
Since its founding, Transatlantic Law International has grown to encompass more than 4,500 lawyers working in affiliated independent firms located in more than 95 countries. These affiliated firms are reputable international business law firms known for their excellence in international business law, and in national laws and cross-border matters in their respective jurisdictions.
Firms are selected for affiliation with Transatlantic Law International based on their expertise and ability to work with clients faster and in more effective ways than traditional firms, with an emphasis on service delivery, cost control and experience.
Transatlantic Law International pioneered the use of dedicated teams of lawyers from top-ranked international firms to work on a single service platform, with centralized billing and central management control, and with the promise of faster delivery times and less overhead and cost for clients. This approach results in more cost-efficient high-quality services. It also differs markedly from those of traditional law firms, loose law-firm-referral networks, and major US-based niche firms that have expanded internationally by opening offices overseas.
