Iqbal Memorial Institute is an educational institution located in Bemina area of Srinagar the capital city of Jammu and Kashmir, India. Named after The Famous poet Allama Iqbal, Iqbal Memorial Institute founded under the aegis of Iqbal Memorial Trust in the year 1981.
Background
Iqbal Memorial Institute founded under the aegis of Iqbal Memorial Trust in the year 1981, with the objective of attaining excellence in the academic field and promoting a level platform for ushering the future generation into scientific and Technological era with a sound moral and ethical background.
In the year 1998, the governing body of Iqbal Memorial Trust decided to raise the level of IMI’s to +2 stage from the year 1999. The +2 Wing is functioning in IMI (Boys), Sir Syed-abad while the Girls Wing started in the newly constructed building adjacent to IMI (Girls), Iqbalabad, Srinagar.

Student Information Messaging (SIM) System
The new communication software. “Student Information Messaging” System has been installed in the IMI. It is a two way communication system. Institute can easily communicate with the parents through SMS and if parents need any information related to their ward, they can communicate with the Institute through SMS.While admitting their wards to any class it is advisable that parents note their own mobile number in the Admission Form to facilitate such communication.
