Bains (Jat)

Bains is gotra of Jats found in Punjab, India and Punjab, Pakistan. Today there are numerous villages with the name Bains in both Indian and Pakistani Punjab.

Religion

The Bains Jat or Rajputs are Muslim in Punjab & Ajk, Pakistan and largely Sikh in Punjab, India.

Bains Jatt & Bais Rajput

There is often confusion between the Rajput clan of the Bais Rajput as many Bais Rajput reside in the same areas of Bains Jats deep in the Punjab region of both India and Pakistan. Also, both Bains and Bais (or Bhains) are pronounced exactly the same adding even more confusion, however a Bains Jat claiming to be a Bais Rajput can only be distinguished on a personal level or from recorded information.
