Here is a poem and its English translation from "Gulshan-e-Sukhan".
"Jungle kaa Raaja"
Kitna bahaadur aur dilair
Jungle kaa Raaja hai shair
Khauf se isko kaam naheeN
Buzdil iskaa naam naheeN
Apnay dushman ko taaRay
Fauran usko jaa phaaRay
Chehray se zaahir hai jalaal
Mehnat kaa hai dil maiN khayaal
Khud hi maar ke laataa hai
Mehnat kar kay khaataa hai
Hai yeh bahaadur aur ghuyoor
Kamzoari hai iss say door
Bachcho tum bhi shair bano
Baagh-e-Sukhan kay Phool chuno
The King of Jungle(English translation)
What a bold and mighty animal !
Lion is the King of Jungle
Far away from fear and dread
It is daring,not coward
It stares at enemies
And tears them into pieces
Having face full of grandeur
Thinking for work and labour
Hunting itself for its food
Always in a working mood
It is high-minded and bold
It is not frail and cold
Make yourself like a lion
Glean flowers of poetry-garden
