FinCon

FinCon is an annual conference for financial media. Founded in 2011, the annual conference moves to a new location each year and attracts over 1,000 attendees. Founded by Phillip Taylor of PTMoney, the event claims to be "the world’s largest Financial Content Expo." The conference hosts speakers, workshops, networking sessions, and social events. Noteworthy past speakers include Farnoosh Torabi, Darren Rowse, Noah Kagan, and Eric Rosenberg.

Event Overview

FinCon is an event where personal finance bloggers, can learn how to grow their audiences, monetize and scale their businesses. While the event focuses mostly on written media, video and podcasting have become more of a focus in recent years. Networking is a major aspect of the conference, which includes keynote speakers, breakout sessions featuring speakers and panels, roundtable education sessions, a FinTech competition, an Ignite speaking event, and an expo hall. FinCon is also a major marketing destination for banks, investment companies, and financial technology startups looking to grow exposure by inclusion in blog articles and other media.
