Arixcel Accounts

Arixcel Accounts is a personal finance add-in (extension) to Microsoft Excel developed by Arixcel Ltd.

It enhances the standard functionality of Excel with special INSTRUMENTS for monitoring transactions on multiple accounts and doing monthly budgeting. The accounting is done in a spreadsheet that contains automated and customisable tables:

  • Accounts – the list of accounts covered by the spreadsheet;
  • Balance Sheet - the list of current balances on the accounts and the overall money balance;
  • Income Statement – shows categories of income and expenses across calendar months with custom subtotals and intermediate categories, such as "Total income", "Net income after fixed costs", etc. The categories are fully customizable.
  • Budgets – the same list of categories but having three columns: the budget, the actual and the difference. A budget can be made for one or several months and the table can contain any number of budgets.
  • Account Data Sheets – contain individual transactions on all the accounts. The user adds or imports transactions into these tables and allocates them by categories. The program then automatically calculates the Income Statement and the actual columns in the Budgets.

Arixcel Accounts supports importing transactions from OFX or QIF bank statements. It ensures that the transactions are added to the right accounts without duplicates. It also allows to view constituent transactions behind any balances on the Income Statement.

The trial version of the add-in is free to download. It has some restrictions, not affecting the key functionality though.
