Eamcet mock counselling

EAMCET is the common entrance test conducted for admissions of all Engineering, Agricultural and Medical colleges of Andhra Pradesh. Each year, students write exam, get their rank and based on that rank, they choose a college in the counseling conducted by APSCHE. In 2013, Eamcet was conducted on May 10th, 2013 and more than 3.75 lakh students appeared for the exam. 2,77,068 out of 2,91,085 Engineering students, 1,00,004 out of 1,05,965 Medical students had attend their examination. Eamcet convener Ramarao informed that 97% of attendance was observed in Hyderabad. From 2009 onwards, the rank of the student is based on the score he/she obtained by adding his/her Intermediate and Eamcet weightages/scores.

Final Eamcet score (Total 100) = Intermediate weightage (Max score: 25) + Eamcet weightage (Max score: 75).

Calculation of Intermediate marks for Eamcet

In calculating Eamcet score, marks obtained in languages are ignored. Thus the marks you obtained in English, Telugu, Sanskrit, Urdu etc. will not be considered in calculating Eamcet rank. 25 points weightage is given to Intermediate 1st and 2nd year subjects, i.e., Maths/Biology, Physics and Chemistry. Engineering students will write Maths-A, Maths-B, Physics and Chemistry exams in both the years. Medical students will write Botany, Zoology, Physics and Chemistry exams in both the years. A few of the above subjects have a maximum score of 75, and the remaining subjects have a maximum score of 60 marks. Practical marks constitute 60 marks. Thus, on the whole 600 marks of your Intermediate results are used to calculate the 25 marks of your final score and subsequently Eamcet rank. This is known as Intermediate weightage.
