Cross Ratio Entertainment (record label)

Cross Ratio Entertainment is an independent record label and music entertainment agency based in Singapore. Founded in March 2015 by Dean Augustine, it operates in artist management, music distribution, marketing, and event curation. The company works with musician from Singapore and other parts of Southeast Asia.

History

Cross Ratio Entertainment was founded in Singapore in 2015 by Dean Augustine, who had previously served as general manager of Tower Records Singapore and managing director of S2S Inc. The company was established as an independent record label and artist management agency, initially focusing on Singaporean musicians and their activities in international markets.

The company initially focused on artist management in Singapore. It later expanded its services to include music distribution and intellectual property management, including trough entities such as Cross Ratio Publishing, as digital distribution and streaming became more prominent.

In 2020, Cross Ratio Entertainment organised the Cross Ratio Music Festival, an online concert featuring Singaporean artist including Tay Kewei, Derrick Hoh, and MICappella. The company has also participated in the organisation of concerts and other live music events in Singapore. On 25 April 2023, Cross Ratio Entertainment entered into an exclusive worldwide distribution agreement with Warner Music Singapore. The agreement covered the distribution and marketing of new music release and catalogue titles, as well as brand sponsorships and managed by Cross Ratio Entertainment.

Partnership

Cross Ratio Entertainment has entered into partnership with several music companies. These include a regional partnership with Universal Records Philippines, an exclusive worldwide distribution agreement with Warner Music Singapore signed in April 2023, and administrative arrangements involving publishing companies such as Warner Chappell Music and Universal Music Publishing Group. The partnerships have involved artist promotion, music marketing, distribution, and publishing administration.
