ClarkMorgan Ltd is a corporate training company with the head office based in Shanghai, China, and with offices in 4 Mainland China cities. The company delivers a complete range of integrated training programs to help companies in China develop the skills of their workforce, decrease operating costs associated with labour, and improve company bottom line profitability.

History

ClarkMorgan was founded by Australian (also British 'Right of abode'), Morry Morgan (born Andrew Christopher Morgan) and Brit, Andy Clark (born Andrew John Clark) in 2001. The company began operations as a Business English training company and then expanded into soft skill training in 2005. In 2006 the company began publishing 'Network HR' magazine. In 2008 ClarkMorgan created the 'Premier Events' business unit. The first Thought Leader invited was Michael Hewitt-Gleeson who presented his 'x10 Thinking' concept, first taught to General Electric as GEx10. On March 28, 2009, ClarkMorgan created Spark09 at the Shanghai World Financial Center which aimed to raise money for local charities, while creating an environment for idea and solution solving. The charities involved were Hands on Shanghai, LifeLine Shanghai, and 51Give.51Give has since invited Spark09 to be the venue for the awards ceremony of the Student Innovation Competition.

Awards

2006: ClarkMorgan was a finalist in the AustCham Hong Kong & Macau Australian Business Awards.

2007: ClarkMorgan won the Wolters Kluwer CCH China Staff 'Training Firm of the Year'.

2007: ClarkMorgan was awarded the title of 'Panda Friend' by the Worldwide Fund for Nature.

2008: Andy Clark (co-founder) was awarded 'Outstanding New Trainer Award' by the Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA).

2008: ClarkMorgan won the Wolters Kluwer CCH China Staff 'Training Firm of the Year'.

Critical Pathway

Critical Pathway is the brand that conducts project management training, which is recognised by the University of Peking and is Project Management Professional acredited program.

CMO

CMO (ClarkMorgan Online) is an online learning platform originally developed for English language learning.

Customers include Eaton, and Sony Ericsson.

CMAS

CMAS (ClarkMorgan Assessment Service) is a combination of soft skill, language, and psychometric tests administered face to face and online.

Customers include Cognis, Ernst & Young, and Otis Elevator.

Premier Events

The Premier Events business unit introduces 'Thought Leaders' to the China market. To date, Premier Events has promoted Michael Hewitt-Gleeson, Sun Yongling, and Terence Sheppard. ClarkMorgan is also the major sponsor of Shanghai idea conference Spark09.

Network HR

Network HR is published bi-monthly and has a distribution of 10,500 across mainland China and Hong Kong.

Spark China

Spark09 is an ideas conference which was first run at the Shanghai World Financial Center on March 28, 2009. The purpose of the event is to highlight ideas and bringing multiple disciplines (Humanity, Environment, Business, and Science together). The next Spark09 event is scheduled on August 8 in Hong Kong, and on October 23 in Beijing.
