Chi-Town Shamrocks
The Chi-Town Shamrocks are a semi-professional inline hockey team based in Aurora, Illinois. They play mainly in tournaments and the Kishwaukee Hockey League. They are owned by Jason Lunmark and will be sponsored by Concrete Pond Jerseys and Fat Wallet.com.
In 2006 the Sean Conlon and Charlie Brooks started a traveling midget inline hockey club in DeKalb, Illinois. However, before the season started Charlie was dismissed from the team and Sean took over full control of the team. They were called the DeKalb County Stealth. After a season filled with tough losses the stealth decided to fold their midget operation.
The next season the DeKalb County Stealth moved into the Junior Division where it had much more success by winning one tournament and taking second at another and third at one other. At the end of the season Sean Conlon secured sponsorship by giving up control of the team to Eddie Saunders the owner of play it again sports. Play it Again Sports already sponsored the team in League play now it would sponsor the team in both league and travel tournaments.
In 2007-08 the Play it Again Shamrocks won the Kishwaukee Hockey League Championship with a record of 14 wins and 1 loss.
Along with a new owner the Stealth would receive a new name. The would now be known as the Play it Again Sports Shamrocks. Along with the new name and owner new players would be signed. The team would now be a semi-professional team with play it again sports paying for all their expenses. That season they would win three tournaments and take second in another. The Shamrocks played in the 2008 Hooser State Showdown in Ft. Wayne, Indiana where it took 1st place.
In 2008-09 the play it Again Shamrocks won the Kishwaukee Hockey League Championship with a record of 12 wins and 3 losses.
In May of 2009 due to Finical reasons Play it Again Sports stopped their sponorship of the Shamrocks. Sean Conlon regained control of the team from Eddie Saunders and Play it Again. In June of 2009 Sean Conlon sold all of his intrest in the team to Jason Lunmark who immediatly changed the name of the team to the Chi-Town Shamrocks and will have a new sponsor for the 2010 tournament season. In 2010 in addition to playing in the Kishwaukee Hockey League they plan on playing in several tournaments.
Currently the Chi-Town Shamrocks record in the Kishwaukee Hockey league is 4 wins and 4 losses.
As of February 6th Sean Conlon and Zach Tucker have left the Shamrocks to join the DC Filibusters of Major League Roller Hockey.
