Charles Salerno

Charles Jonathan Salerno (born November 25, 1982 in Chicago, Illinois) is the co-managing partner of a Chicago-based hedge fund, and founder and General Partner at the Private Equity group, Lombard Capital.

While still in highschool, Salerno ran Business Development for DigiWorks, a before-its-time content creation company for new media platforms and mobile/wireless service providers.

Two years later, he was responsible for successfully structuring aWiFi contract with Vimani Wireless and Davel Communications that resulted in deploying hot spots and kiosks into 20,000 locations across the US.

Salerno also has strong ties to the Music Industry. Salerno is currently one of the youngest voting members of the National Academy of Recording Artists and Sciences. He studied music production, music composition and guitar at the prominent Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, and earned Pro Tools, modern recording techniques and audio engineer certifications at the California Recording Institute in San Francisco. He was a four-time award winning jazz band member in high school prior to graduation, and today, he actively supports MusiCares, a charitable organization created to positively impact the health and welfare of the music community members.
