Central Square, Ballarat
Central Square, Ballarat, is the largest shopping centre in the Ballarat CBD. The centre features a 3 level Myer store with access only available between the store and centre from the 1st level. There is also a large Target store on the 2nd level. Alongside these two major stores, there are 40 specialty stores and a Rivers superstore.
The centre was built in 1988 next door to Myer, and it was only later on that the centre was connected to Myer. Myer celebrated 100 years in Ballarat in 2005. The centre also originally had a BiLo supermarket, although this later closed. The centre has been upgraded a number of times over the years. No plans have been made for future expansion.
