Delacombe Town Centre

Delacombe Town Centre (DTC) is a shopping centre located at the south-western edge of Delacombe, Ballarat. It is located on the corner of Cherry Flat Rd and the Glenelg Hwy.The first tenants are Woolworths and Kmart.

It was constructed by H. Troon and is being leased by Colliers International. The architects that made the centre were i2c. The stage one development was valued at 40 million dollars. The centre opened on Thursday 31 August 2017, with celebrations occurring on the 2nd of September.

It will include 825 carparks and 35+ specialty stores. The centre is 16,150 m2 in size. Free WiFi is being installed throughout the whole complex. The Route 25 bus will near the centre at the Glenelg Hwy/Wiltshire Lane (Delacombe) stop.

Proposed/expected:

  • Aldi- Aldi is considering whether they will open a store in the centre. In a statement, an ALDI Australia spokesperson said “we are conducting a review to assess whether a fifth store in the Greater Ballarat area would be beneficial to the community”. “At this early stage, we have not entered into any formal agreements regarding a new store in Delacombe or an alternate location in the Ballarat area,” the statement read. Aldi is also on the list of anchor tennants.
  • 'Noodle Box is also expected to feature.' They have appeared on Google Maps as a place.
  • Bunnings Warehouse is going to open at the Delacombe Town Centre, having a "17,000 square metre premises which is expected to create about 200 construction jobs. Should the application be given the green light construction is set to begin in the first quarter of 2018."
