Burning Stars (magazine)
Burning Stars was started by Maureen on June 22, 2001 because she felt that many bands were not getting the recognition they deserved from the media. It was originally a print magazine called Punk Rawker Magazine but in August 2005 Maureen decided to make it an online magazine. She felt it wasn't reaching enough people and it was too expensive to keep printing it. With the format change came the name change because the original name was really childish. Burning Stars covers punk, metal, ska, emo, hardcore, rock, pop and everything in between.
The staff at Burning Stars are working very hard to bring you the best online magazine possible. They try to keep you up to date on your favorite bands, bring you amazing InterViews and pictures of those bands, give you our opinion on new cds being released and hook you up with exclusive stuff you can't get anywhere else.
Burning Stars have interviewed and photographed bands such as Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, My American Heart, Diffuser, Placebo, Allister, Damone, Less Than Jake, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, The Starting Line, All American Rejects, New Found Glory, Simple Plan, Good Charlotte, The Sounds and Reel Big Fish to name a few.
Burning Stars currently only cover shows in the following states: New York, Ohio, Pennsylvaina, Massachusetts, Connecticut and in Ontario, Canada.
