Carlton Public School
Carlton Public School is a public school located in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It was established in 1918. Over the past 10 years the school has grown rapidly and new facilities have been built such as the library, office in 2000, and in 2002 the hall and canteen. The school celebrated 75 years of teaching in 1993. The school will celebrate its 90th anniversary in next year in 2008.

Languages
The school has four community languages â Arabic, Chinese, Macedonian, and Maori â and one non-community language, Indonesian.
All of the students from Kindergarten through to Year 6 study a language other than English for two hours each week.
Library
All classes use the library for borrowing every week.
Child protection
Child protection education aims to assist students to develop skills in recognizing and responding to unsafe situations and seeking assistance effectively.
