Bharati Vidyapeeth's College of Engineering, New Delhi

Bharati Vidyapeeth's College of Engineering, New Delhi (BVCOEND), is an engineering college located at Paschim Vihar, New Delhi, India. Its parent body is Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune. It is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi.

The flagship program of the college is the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) undergraduate degree.

The college is headed by Dr. K.C.Tiwari, who took over from Dr. N.D.Kaushika.

Departments

The college has five departments:

  • Applied Science (AS)
  • Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)
  • Information Technology (IT)
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)
  • Electronics and Electrical Engineering (EEE)
  • Instrumentation and Control Engineering (ICE)

Admission

AbOUT 360 students are admitted each year through the GGSIPU Common Entrance Test. The intake is divided as:

  • Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) - 60 students
  • Information Technology (IT) - 60 students
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) - 120 students (in two classes of 60 students each)
  • Electronics and Electrical Engineering (EEE) - 60 students
  • Instrumentation and Control Engineering (ICE) - 60 students

An additional 3-8 students per class are admitted through the lateral entry scheme for diploma students.

Research and Development Cell

The college has an R&D Cell which has been involved in projects including the EU-Asia Link project.

Building

A red brick building houses BVCOE. The laboratory wing has the notable light blue glass facade, which has made the college a landmark in the area.

The B.Tech department and Administrative block is composed in a single building with four internally divided blocks (A - D). The building has all academic facilities except an auditorium which is shared from the MBA Building.

Sports Facilities

The college ground is equipped with a maintained cricket pitch. A full size concrete basketball court has been constructed. A room for Table Tennis is attached to the cafeteria. The college provides equipment for cricket, soccer, chess and some indoor games. However, participation in such activities is low to moderate.

CORPROVA 2011

BVP Inc, Business and Management society of BVCOE,Delhi presents its 3rd EDition of CORPROVA 2011. CORPROVA or the Corporate Challenge aims to bring together the best of Business and Managerial worlds. It brings together the concept of working in unison while facing the pressure of meeting deadlines in today’s boardrooms. With a host of events catering to all the aspects of running and managing a successful business, CORPROVA will be the largest of it kind, unprecedented Corporate Challenge for the students. Let us captivate and fascinate you by the ingenious, innovative and prismatic events created by the Think Tank of BVP Inc.

About BVP Inc. BVP INC is the business club of BVCOE was started in the year 2006, it is a students group started with a vision to create awareness amongst engineers about business anissuesd economic issues. The group aims to aid its members come to terms with daily business jagrons and raise the level of comprehension via the financial issues.

Student life

  • A hostel is available for girls.
  • A canteen serves food and drink from 8:30 AM to 9 PM.
  • Sports facilities include a football/cricket ground, a basketball court, volleyball court, ping-pong tables and carrom boards only after 4 p.m.
  • Corprova 2011 BVP Inc organized the biennial business fest of Bharti Vidyapeeth's College Of Engineering,Delhi.
  • Two technical festivals are organized every year in February or March: IEEE Fervour, and another festival organized by one of the departments. The cultural festival, Xtasy, is organized once in two years. It was last held in March 2010.
  • Chapters of technical societies such as IEEE, ISTE, CSI etc. are active in the college through which conferences, training, seminars, workshops, and industrial tours, are organized.
