Northern India Engineering College (NIEC)
Northern India Engineering College is an engineering college in Delhi, India and established in 2003. It is affiliated with GGSIPU with a campus spread over 8 acre. NIEC is located in Shastri Park Delhi. The College has been established and is being managed by Babu Banarasi Das Educational Society, under the Chairmanship of Dr. Akhilesh Das, Secretary and MP (Rajya Sabha) and former Mayor of Lucknow.
Institutional Linkages
NIEC is institutional member of IEEE, IIM Lucknow CSI & Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) and has associations with ASOCHAM (UP), AIMA/ LMA, CDRI.
Admissions
- Eligibility Criteria
Any recognized Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. OR Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology or any other subject with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or any qualification recognized as equivalent thereto with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. OR Passed the Final Examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England, The Institute of Cost and works Accountants of India or England or The Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
- Admission Procedure
Admission of the students is made on the basis of CET (Combined Entrance Test ) & Counseling held by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi, for Regular Seats.
- Fee Structure
The Fee structure followed is, as prescribed by the Govt. of NCT of Delhi for the academic program being run by self-financing institutes on the basis of state fee committee’s decision.
Campus life
NIEC Campus is spread in about 8 acres, located at Facility Center, Shastri Park, (near Delhi Metro Station), New Delhi. NIEC, New Delhi starts operation w.e.f. Academic Session 2003-2004.
Inter-Departmental Competitions
Indoor and outdoor games like Table Tennis, Carum-boards, Chess, Volley ball are installed in the college.
Fnord-08
Fnord is NIEC Delhi annual technical festival with around 30 technical events every year. Fnord -08 is technical fest of NIEC which consists of over 35 events grouped in various fields of engineering.These events also include some informals which are entertaining.
