Bella Mafia (Mocha album)

Bella Mafia is the unreleased album of rap artist Mocha. In 1999, Mocha began working with producer on her upcoming album. Guest appearances were made by Lil' Mo, Missy Elliott, Petey Pablo, and Timbaland. In 2000, Mocha released her first single "Runnin' [...]" which featured the superproducer Timbaland, but did not receive airplay.But late that year Torrey Carter got signed to the label, which pushed labelmates Nicole Wray, Mocha, and Danja Mowf' albums back. In 2001, Mocha released her second single "Mardi Gras" which featured Lil' Mo and Missy Elliott. The song was a latin beat ballad which seem to the success of her album, but sadly the single did not reach a chart position. In the mid of 2001, Mocha released her last single "I Know Whatcha Like" featuring Petey Pablo, Lil' Mo, and Missy Elliott. Realizing that none of her single were hitting the charts, Mocha decided to shelve the album.

Interview

In a myspace interview, Mocha stated that the album only recorded 11 tracks. The album was unfinished due to the its process. Mocha would give the project another try if she got more support from the fans. But in 2007, Mocha released a New album called One Day At A Time.
