Aric Goodman
Aric Goodman (Born July 5, 1988 in Denver, Colorado) is a former Colorado placekicker and currently is playing indoor football for the Colorado Ice of the Indoor Football League. He is also a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in Denver, Colorado.
Highschool
Aric attended high school at Cherry Creek after transferring his Junior year from Smoky Hill High He played football under Head Coach Greg Critchett. He was a co-caption his Junior and Senior year. Besides playing football, Aric also letterd 4 years on the soccer team where he played forward. As a senior he earned first team All-Colorado for kicker and punter. He was named Sports Illustrated preseason high school All-American his senior year. Due to Wyoming losing both punter (Adam Brooks) and kicker Deric Yaussi and there back up (Scott Parker who played punter and kicker) to graduation, Aric was heavily recurtied by the Cowboys and was the second player to verbally commit. (First player was Christopher Prosinski from Buffalo High) Goodman was also recurited by Northern Colorado, LSU, Colorado, Arizona State and Oregon.
College
Wyoming
Goodman originally enrolled on the Wyoming football team and split time on the field with red shirt freshman Jake Scott While there, Aric was named honorable mention as Freshman All-American honors form The Sporting News. He lead the team in points by scoreing 48. As a true freshman he made 10 out of 16 field goals and was 18 out of 20 for PATs. The longest filed goal he had his freshman year was 52 yard game winner against San Diego State. That year the Cowboys went 6-6 under head coach Joe Glenn.

2007
During his 2007 season, Aric was Redshirted due to the transfer to Colorado.
2008
In 2008 he led the team in scoring with 45 points. During the season,Goodman kicked the game winning field goal againsit No.21 West Virginia Mountaineers. After the win the coaching staff awarded Goodman a scholarship. After scoring a 37 yard field goal against Nebraska Aric was named Big 12 speacial player of the week honors.
2009
In 2009 Aric again lead the team in scoring with 61 points. He made his career-long field goal of 54 yards against rivial Colorado State in the season opener that Colorado State won 23-17. Aric also racked up 5 tackles. He was awarded the Gold Group Commitment Award that recognizies excellence with class in a variety of areas.
2010
In his senior year (2010), Goodman was returning after hip surgery to repair a torn right labrum. Due to the uncertaintiy of Goodman's hip a kicker competition took place between freshman Justin Castor and a former soccer player and walk-on Junior Marcus Kirkwood. Aric, again lead the team in scoring. Again the coaching staff honored Aric Goodman by awarding him the Robbie Robinson Good Works Award due to his community service. At Colorado he wore number 13.
Pro-Carrer
On January 3, 2012 the Colorado Ice of the Indoor Football League announced the signing of Goodman. On March 31, 2012 Goodman made a 33 and 44 yard field goal against the Everett Raptors winning 49–36.
Following the 2012 Indoor Football League (IFL) season, Goodman was named First Team ALL-IFL Placekicker, the only first team selection for the Colorado Ice.
Personal
Aric Goodman graduated with a degree in Business Operation & Information Management. Goodman's father, Curtis was a kicker for the University of Hawaii during the 1975-1978 season. Ally, his twin sister played for the Colorado U soccer team from 2006-2009. Another set of twins sisters Maddie and Renee currently attend CU.
