Aaron Zagory
Aaron Zagory (born on December 20, 1985 in Kōchi, Japan) is a former college football player, and the starting kicker for Stanford University in 2006 and 2008. In 2006, he led the Cardinal in scoring with 37 points. He is also the Stanford record-holder for career field-goal percentage. Zagory was sidelined in 2007 with an injury but rebounded in 2008 by converting on 14 of 17 field goal attempts.
High school
Zagory graduated from Yellow Springs High School in 2004. Zagory was a three-sport standout in football, soccer and swimming all four years and earned all-conference honors in football as a senior. He was also a three-time all-district selection in soccer, competed in the 100 free and 100 breaststroke, served as class president and valedictorian and was a member of the National Honor Society.
Post-college
Zagory is currently a social-studies teacher and the kicking and special teams coach at Chalmette High School in Chalmette, Louisiana, where he coached kicker Hector Fernandez to All-District First Team honors in Louisiana District 9-5A.
