Apartment Finder is an Internet Listing Service (ILS) that offers online and Mobile search, interactive print, and social solutions. Unlike many other ILS services, Apartment Finder still provides print options as well as online and mobile websites to provide a service that is "multifaceted." The motto for Apartment Finder is "Search Smarter, Live Better." Its website provides the ability to refine a search and choose from a list, photo, or interactive map view. Apartment Finder uses real-time search technology to provide instant search results, as well as advanced search features that allow visitors to shop by amenities, number of bedrooms, price range, or for senior, student, or pet-friendly apartments.
Apartment Finder is the flagship brand of Network Communications, Inc. and is headquartered in Norcross, Georgia. It serves more than 20,000 advertisers and generates more than 12 million actionable leads every year. The current president of Apartment Finder is Marcia Bollinger, who has been with Apartment Finder since 2003.
History
Apartment Finder first launched as Apartment Blue Book in 1979. It was available in Atlanta and Athens. In 1981, the company gained its first direct-owned book for the Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point areas. By the late 1990s, the company operated 50 publications. It soon changed its name to Apartment Finder for national recognition. By 2005, Apartment Finder was in 100 markets, nationwide. Between 2008 and 2010, Apartment Finder launched its iPhone and Android apps. In 2014, it was the first multifamily company to offer an app for the Tizen Operating System. Apartment Finder also became the first Internet Listing Service to offer OnDemand Coupons.
Finder Sites
Finder Sites is a division of Apartment Finder that offers "website design, development, and SEO services as a cost-effective, turnkey solution for creating a community website." It utilizes responsive design to help advertisers create websites that function properly on all devices, including desktop, laptop, tablet, and smartphone, eliminating the need for a separate mobile site for their advertisers.Finder Sites was launched in July 2013.
