Amitov Teja
Amitov Teja (born November 16, 1995) is an Indian actor and screenwriter. He is the eldest son of Teja (film director), a very popular Indian film cinematographer turned director, predominant in Telugu and Hindi cinema. Amitov made his first screen appearance at the age of four in a cameo role in his father's directorial debut Chitram in the year 2000.
Life and Career
Early Life
Amitov was born on 16 November 1995 in Mumbai. He spent the first two years of his life in Mumbai, where his father worked as a cinematographer and director for many major Bollywood motion pictures. The family later relocated to Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh in 1997.
Amitov made his first screen appearance at the age of four in a cameo role in the telugu motion picture Chitram in 2000.
Amitov attended Oakridge International School, in central Hyderabad. After graduation from high school, Amitov attended Bachelor of Arts - Film & Television Production program at University of Southern California, School of Cinematic Arts. He dropped out after first semester and moved to New York to attend The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute to be trained in method acting.
Motion picture companies
Amitov is currently co-chairman of the motion picture production company Chitram Movies and its subsidiaries. He is also the CEO of the motion picture exhibition company Jayam Movies Pvt. Ltd. which owns a string of movie theaters in Southern parts of India.
