Aguedo Jesús Alonso Labrador

Aguedo Jesús Alonso Labrador was born in Pinar del Río, Cuba, in february,1938. Since 1952 to 1957 he studied at the Escuela Provincial de Artes Plásticas in Pinar del Río, Cuba. Between 1974-1998 he was professor in the Escuela de Artes Plásticas “San Alejandro”, Havana, Cuba.

Individual Exhibitions

He showed his pieces in individual exhibitions like "Águedo". Biblioteca Provincial “Ramón González Coro”, Pinar del Río, Cuba,1965. He presented also"Paisaje interior" at Memorial José Martí, Havana, Cuba,1999 and in 2001 he presented his work in the Parlamento Europeo, Brussels, Belgium.

Collective Exhibitions

The V Exposición de Escultura, Círculo de Bellas Artes, Havana, 1959 was one of his first collective exhibitions . In 1998 he took part in "Artistas Cubanos Contemporáneos". Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Río de Janeiro, Brazil. In this same year he was one of the selected artists for the Feria Internacional de Arte Contemporáneo ARCO’98, Parque Ferial Juan Carlos I,Madrid,Spain.He had also an important participation on 2000 in "Tono a tono, Exposición de Arte Abstracto" Salón de la Solidaridad, Hotel Habana Libre Tryp, Havana, Cuba.
