Alberto Jorge Carol Yániz

Alberto Jorge Carol Yániz was born in Havana, Cuba, on June 20 1945.

He studied painting in Escuela Nacional de Artes (ENA) in Havana, Cuba, during 1968

Individual exhibitions

Among his personal exhibitions can be included the one held at Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Havana, Cuba. Between 1982-1986 he exhibited"Pinturas y Dibujos".He also presented his paintings in Heller Galería de Arte, Madrid, España and in 1992, in Europ’ Art, Ginebra, Suiza.

Collective exhibitions

In 1967 was part of the Salón Nacional de Dibujo , Galería Habana,Havana, Cuba. He was also included in "Cint ans de lutte" XXIVe. Salon de Mayo “Adam Montparnasse”, Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris,France. And was one of the selected artists for the I and III Havana Biennial Bienal de La Habana in 1984-1986. In 1990 his works took part of "UNEAC’90", Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Havana, Cuba

Awards

He has been awarded with several distintions during his life, as an example we can mention Prize “Adam Montparnasse” to Young Painting(collective).Also awarded with mention in the XXIVe. Salon de Mai, Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, France, 1968. And the First drawing Prize at contest “13 de Marzo”, Galería L, La Havana, Cuba, 1985.
