AFP Election Duty Badge
The AFP Election Duty Badge also known as the "HOPE Badge" is awarded by the Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Chief Philippine National Police to members of the Philippine Military and National Police Force, including Cadets of the Philippine Military Academy, Philippine National Police Academy, AFP Service Academies, and ROTC of the various branches of the Philippine Military that were deputized by the Commission on Elections as security contingents in ensuring Honest, Orderly, and Peaceful conduct of elections.
Participation is not limited to actual poll security duties but also administrative support services provided to actual security forces on duty.
Description
The badge is rectangular in form containing 4 colored panels of Blue, Green, White, and Red. A half sun is placed on top of the badge and the words HOPE and the Election Year superimposed over the colored panels.
The Blue color symbolizes honest elections, Green symbolizes orderly elections, White symbolizes peaceful elections, and red symbolizes the election process.
