Adnan Milad

Adnan Milad is an Israeli para taekwondo practitioner. Competing in the K44 classification in the 63 kg division, Milad represents the Israel national team. He represented Israel in the men's K44 63 kg event at the 2024 Summer Paralympics, where he finished fifth. At European level, he won silver in Rotterdam in 2023, bronze in Belgrade in 2024 and silver in Munich in 2026.

Personal life

Milad lost his arm following an electrical accident at the age of 17. He later took up para taekwondo.

Career

Milad began appearing in international results records in 2022. At the European Para Taekwondo Championships held in Manchester, England, he competed in the K44 63 kg event and lost 14–9 to Italy's Antonio Bossolo in the quarter-finals, finishing outside the medals.

In 2023, he won the silver medal in the K44 63 kg event at the 2023 European Para Championships held in Rotterdam, Netherlands. He defeated Georgia's Sandro Megrelishvili 21–8 in the semi-finals to reach the final, where he lost 42–12 to Turkey's Mahmut Bozteke and finished second. The same year, he competed in the K44 63 kg event at the World Para Taekwondo Championships in Veracruz, Mexico. He defeated China's Ni Zheyi 20–16 in his opening match, before losing 16–13 to Geraldo Castro Encarnacion of the Dominican Republic in the round of 16.

In 2024, Milad won the K44 63 kg event at the European Paralympic Qualification Tournament held in Sofia, Bulgaria, and secured a quota place for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. He defeated Daniil Sidorov 20–16 in the semi-finals and Sandro Megrelishvili 22–17 in the final. The same year, he won the bronze medal in the K44 63 kg event at the European Para Taekwondo Championships held in Belgrade, Serbia. He defeated Sandro Megrelishvili 40–20 in the quarter-finals, before losing 28–17 to Mahmut Bozteke in the semi-finals and finishing third.

At the 2024 Summer Paralympics in Paris, Milad represented Israel in the men's K44 63 kg event. In the round of 16, he defeated South Korea's Lee Dong-ho 27–12 to reach the quarter-finals. He then lost 30–7 to Turkey's Mahmut Bozteke. In the repechage, he advanced to the bronze-medal bout after Iran's Saeid Sadeghianpour did not compete. He lost 18–13 to Italy's Antonio Bossolo in the bronze-medal match and finished fifth at the Games.

In 2026, Milad won the silver medal in the K44 63 kg event at the European Para Taekwondo Championships held in Munich, Germany. He defeated Azerbaijan's Amin Shikhaliyev in the quarter-finals and Spain's Joel Martín Villalobos in the semi-finals, before losing to Mahmut Bozteke in the final and finishing as European runner-up.
