Adam Carr (curator)

Adam Carr (Chester, UK, 1981) is an independent curator and writer. Previously, he has worked for Institute of Contemporary Arts, London (2005 as a guest curator and 2006 as a nominator and writer for Beck's Futures). In 2007, he was an adjunct curator for Kadist Art Foundation in Paris. Since 2007, he is a visiting professor at Oslo National Academy of the Arts, Norway. He is currently one of the curators of the Turin Art Fair, Artissima (16, 2009), in particular for its Present Future section and curator of THE STORE, an exhibition set to take place in the fair—all forthcoming in November, 2009.

Publications

He is editor in chief of Archive Journal, upcoming from Archive Books and has written numerous texts for art publications including Afterall, Aprior, File Magazine, Flash Art (Italia & International), Janus Magazine, Mousse Magazine, Neue Review, W [Art], Spike Art Quarterly, UOVO, Newspaper Jan Mot, among others. He has written monographic texts on the work of a number of artists such as Jonathan Monk, Robert Barry, Tris Vonna-Michell, Angela Bulloch, Jason Dodge, Dexter Sinister, Rodney Graham, Mandla Reuter, Gintaras Didziapetris, Hannah Rickards, Flávia Müller Medeiros, Tobias Rehberger, Danh Vo, Dan Rees, Jordan Wolfson and Mungo Thompson.
