Alex Miceli

Alex Miceli is a graduate of Southern Illinois University and of University of Baltimore Law School. He is a noted golf analyst, journalist and tv personality. Miceli once served as a Managing Director of Export Regulatory Consulting Firm in Washington D.C. He also served two separate stints in the Federal government and worked for Reuters News Service. Miceli has covered more than 100 golf tournaments, including 18 majors and Ryder Cups.

Miceli's significant involvement in golf began in 1993 when he founded Golf.com (formerly GolfData Corporation). It was the first website dedicated to covering golf. He served as the company's president until October 2000, when the company was sold to Quokka Sports.

Miceli also founded the Golf Press Association (GPA). The GPA is an independent golf news service that provides golf content to newspapers, magazines and web sites. Miceli serves as the company's current president and publisher.

Miceli is perhaps most commonly known for his part on the Golf Channel Show "The Approach with Callaway Golf." There, he is known as the "Stat Man," due to his use of statistics when debating and evaluating current golf issues and events. He is often alongside fellow analyst Andrew Magee.
