Abdul Majeed Khan Marwat
Abdul Majeed Khan Marwat (Urdu: عبدالمجید خان مروت) (born 5 July 1956) is a former Pakistani policeman and civil servant who served as Commandant of the Frontier Constabulary and Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) of Peshawar.
Biography
Abdul Majeed Khan Marwat is a Marwat Pashtun from District Lakki Marwat and a cousin of Dil Jan Khan. He entered the Civil Services of Pakistan via the 9th CTP and completed the National Management Course.
Career and Achievements
Marwat served decades in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa law enforcement. As Peshawar CCPO (2007–2009) and AIG CID, he managed critical security operations. Appointed Frontier Constabulary Commandant on 25 October 2011, he focused on border outpost fortification, administrative security coordination after the Bannu jailbreak, and personnel legal matters.
On 29 March 2013, he survived a Tehreek-e-Taliban suicide bombing targeting his convoy in Peshawar. Despite fatalities among others, Marwat sustained minor injuries and resumed duties.
Retirement
He retired upon superannuation and remains active in community leadership and public commentary.
