Sezion

Sezion is a Madrid-based company that aims to help anyone enrich any video easily. Sezion has developed a cloud based automatic video editing technology that also enables collaborative video creation and audio video sync. This technology supports its web and mobile applications and APIs.

Sezion is invested by Telefónica's Wayra and has been finalist or semifinalist of over a dozen awards. Seedcamp recognized it as one of Europe's most promising startups. Sezion was founded by Panamanian entrepreneur and CEO Josías De La Espada, Argentine CCO Jonatan Bertuzzi and Spanish CTO Harán Lerma.

Apps developed

  • Sezion: an iPad app to make video clips socially.
  • Video Comment: an Android app to record and add video on top of any video.
  • Sezion Studio: a no longer available iPhone app that lets anyone collaborate on a song. It was coined "the Instagram for amateur musicians” by the Israeli VC Ehud Levy.

  • In October 2011 Sezion announced a $ 40,000 seed capital investment by Wayra, a startup accelerator owned by Telefónica.
