Zumeo.com is a website for employment seekers based in Medford, Oregon. It is headed by chief executive Jared Booye, marketing and development vice president Mat Rudisill, lead developer Adam Braly, developer and graphic designer Aaron Miller, 21, and developer Adam Passey, 25. As of August 21, 2008 Zumeo.com had spent $50,000 in seed money. Zumeo was founded in late 2007 with the goal of offering online job seekers an alternative to Monster.com and Career Builders. Zumeo.com uses social media to connect a younger demographic (i.e. Generation Y) to relevant jobs, internships and professional connections. Users create "Live Resumés", and use social communication tools (similar in feel and function to Facebook and LinkedIn) for interacting with other professionals and organizations that are hiring. Recruiters post job openings, network with users and promote their company culture in a manner familiar to Generation Y.
