Zahed Mannan

Zahed Mannan, Assistant professor of Management in the Faculty of Business Administration at Hamdard University Bangladesh, was a faculty member of Southeast University Bangladesh and International Islamic University, Chittagong. Mannan specializes in the study of Management and Human Resource Management and has served on the editorial boards of Journal of Hamdard University Bangladesh. He has authored 3 textbooks and 11 scholarly articles and research papers. Most of his research has focused on issues of public-private partnership, but he has also written on performance management, knowledge management, globalization, and knowledge economy. His work has been published in Journal of Business Studies, Dhaka University, and other nationally reputed public university journal.
Mannan also is an active teacher and consultant. He has taught management, leadership, organizational change, organizational theory, organizational behavior, human resource management, strategic management, and business communication for undergraduates, MBAs, Executive MBAs, and MS in HR students. He has also taught classes and conducted seminars on various HR topics in many private universities. He is doing his PhD from Department of Management, Dhaka University. His research topic is Public Private Partnership in Bangladesh: An Explorative Study of Current Status, Future Potentials and Implementation Mechanisms in the Higher Education Sector. He was involved in Public Private Partnership Projects in Higher Education, funded by Asian Development Bank (ADB), which will be implemented by University Grants Commission and supervised by the Ministry of Education. Mannan has produced for-profit theatrical productions, and helped manage a start-up enterprise. He has been involved in management development and consulting for many companies including ANZ Education, HN Resource Development, 5M Security Services Limited, and 5M InfoTech Limited.
Mannan received higher education in Management at Dhaka University. He obtained First Class in all higher-level public examinations. During his 11 years of teaching career at the University level, for a few years he worked as the Director of 5M Security Services Limited, Managing Director of 5M InfoTech Limited, and as Resource Person at ANZ Education. He is the owner of 5M Corporation, a market leader of automobile maintenance and service center. He has wide multicultural orientation resulted from his professional and personal visits to USA, UK, United Arab Emirates, India, Singapore, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, and Russia.
