Dustin Ryan Kellogg (February 16, 1993 - October 4, 2011) was a professional baseball player in the Houston Astros minor league system. He was drafted by the Astros in the 34th round of the 2011 MLB June Amateur Draft out of Caney Creek High School (near Conroe, Texas) after going 2-3 with a 3.10 ERA in his final year at Caney Creek. Despite initially signing with Navarro College, he inked a contract with the Astros and began his professional career that year. A 6' 4", 185 pound right-hander, he threw a fastball in the high-80s to low-90s. He pitched for the GCL Astros in his lone professional season, going 1-1 with a 4.26 ERA in six relief appearances, striking out nine batters in 6.1 innings of work. On October 4, 2011, the 18-year-old Kellogg was driving a pickup truck in Porter, Texas when he collided, head-on, with an 18-wheeler. He died at the scene of the crash.
