Xtreme Drilling and Coil Services is an oilfield services company based in Houston, Texas and Calgary, Alberta.
Fleet
Xtreme currently operates two fleets of:
*XDR drilling rigs
*XSR coiled tubing service units.
Most of Xtreme’s drilling rigs are purpose-built for North America’s unconventional shale plays.
Xtreme’s drilling fleet features technologies such as:
*AC drive systems
*PLC-based controls
*Automated Pipe Handling
*Large-capacity Mud Pumps
Xtreme’s drilling rigs are considered highly mobile due to their multi-well skidding systems and modular designs.
Operations
Xtreme is currently drilling primarily in the U.S. Rocky Mountain region with rigs in the Denver-Julesburg Basin in Colorado, including the Niobrara Shale, and the Williston Basin in North Dakota, including the Bakken Shale, as well as some rigs working in Canada’s unconventional plays. Xtreme also has two deep re-entry coiled tubing units currently operating in the Middle East.
History
The Company was formed in 2005 by a team of industry veterans with a history of rig engineering.
*May 2005 — Xtreme incorporated under Alberta (Canada) Business Corporations Act
*May 2006 — Xtreme stock first traded on TSX Venture Exchange
*September 2006 — Xtreme stock begins trading on Toronto Stock Exchange under symbol XDC
*July 2008 — Xtreme International presence established
*March 2010 — Xtreme Middle East presence established
*March 2010 — Xtreme was contracted to drill world's first geothermal well with coiled tubing (Nevada)
